How to Save Money with Retail Stores

Here are some tips on how I save money with retail stores. It is actually really simple! I am one who loves to shop online. It is convenient and I don't have to walk and search for hours through racks of clothes that 95% of the items I'm not going to like. Also, you also get special deals for shopping online for some retailers as well. They do have online only specials! So lets get started with the list!

1. Visit their website and sign up for their emails.

-Create an email address that you will use solely for coupons and sign ups! This way it will stay organized and keep the clutter from your personal email.

-Mostly, all retailers have some sort of coupon that you receive if you sign up for their emails. Take advantage of those!

2. Retailmenot.com

Visit Retailmenot for all your in-store and online purchases. They often have coupons for most retailers.

-Don't feel like going to the website and typing in the store and etc. You can simply either download the app and save your favorite retailers or just type in the store name, retailmenot, coupons in your browser. ( Nike retailmenot coupons)

3. Groupon

Groupon often has deals for the local shops and restaurants near you! Take advantage of it! These normally are local places that are looking to gain customers. Sometimes, you can also call the company and they will sometime offer you a better deal than the Groupon. Last week, my husband and I got a Large Pizza, 2 drinks, and a Salad to share for $10...and we actually really liked the pizza!

4. Wait for Sales!

-Ask your retail store when they are having a sale and what the sale is before you shop! It's nothing like buying an item and then having the item go on sale in 2 days!

5. Price Match

-Take advantage of stores that Price match! Don't know if the store price matches or not don't be afraid to ask or call!

- Prices may also be different online than in the stores so be sure to check there as well and see if they will be able to honor that price!

6. Clip Coupons

I will have another blog about how to coupon and get started with couponning at a later time. Couponning can save you tons of money on everyday products! There are even some coupons that will allow you to stack (use more than 1 coupon on 1 item).

7. Download their app

There are plenty of retailers that offer coupons on their apps. I love using the apps especially for fast food/food orders! I will make another post about mobile food ordering.

8. Using Coupon apps

Use money by using coupon apps such as Ibotta. It is super easy and simple to use! No need to cut coupons out or anything. You just select the items that you bought and then upload a picture of your receipt to get your money.
